Same for me. Bought it from Amazon US, found out later its actually coming from Amazon UK global. Got the ship notice today. Its actually coming from Australia, estimated arrival is Jan28. WTF?

I've never known a Blu-ray audio disc to be region coded even if it's been stated as so on it's packaging!

I seem to remember taking a chance on a Talking Heads blu-ray for a friend's gift, and it wouldn't play on her Oppo. Can't remember the title though.

Was it the 4K version? Which Oppo does she have?
I have the 4K/UHD and my 103 doesn't do 4K but JRiver does.
Also one of the discs they sent was unplayable/not rippable (is that a word?). Had to play tag with Mercury Records to get a replacement disc.

I was slightly off on the title; it was David Byrne's American Utopia, and the player is an Oppo UDP 205.

I finally gave up and ordered from Amazon US also because I really like these early albums and had to have it. Also shipped from Australia. I don't get why he would do business with a label that seems to have such a limited distribution network. Here's hoping I Robot won't have the same problem.

Just an addition: I checked my shipping info and although it mentions an Australian shipper, it looks like the disc is actually coming from the UK, so at least it's closer.

That's a blu-ray 'video' disc of a concert so yes it's more likely to be region coded. A blu-ray 'audio' disc does not contain copyrighted video so it's not region coded.

I preordered from importcds on 12/18, but have not received a cancellation email yet. I tried to check on my order status but the website has been down all morning. Amazon US has a price of $35 and estimated delivery on 2/4.
