If you are going the CD route it's always nice to look at the DR numbers if they are available...when buying CD's it's WAY easier to get the right CD version on Ebay...sellers usually provide pictures of the covers of CD's...here is an example of the album you mentioned..of course the DR numbers don't always guarantee better results..but for me it eliminates the ultra compressed discs...which I can't stand...

Yeah - I ALWAYS seem to forget about the DR database...which makes me mad....I do want to use it as a tool...can't get it into my routine.

Just thought I would mention something about a site that offers very good prices on audio and video accessories like cables...I've been using this website for several years..but I must admit I was surprised on a recent visit to discover that they are also selling a unique product HERE

Monoprice cables are pretty much what our house is wired with. I can't recommend Monoprice enough.

I love Glen Campbell - one of my all time favorites. Love to hear his hits in Quad. IN the meantime, this is one of my favorite versions of Witchita Lineman. Features Glen more recently performing the song with Stone Temple Pilots. yeah, you can just sense the immense respect they have for him and also you can sense that he is blown away that a band of their stature wanted to perform it with him. Just goose bumps man.....

Great video thanks, Glen was a great guitarist, singer and tunesmith. I just watched the documentary "I'll Be Me" about his Alzheimer diagnosis and his final tour. Both sad and very uplifting. Glen in Quad would be good thing.

Surrealistic Pillow has been out in MONO on CD a couple times, the RCA Gold CD has both stereo & mono mixes, as does one of the more recent CD issues.

I see a NEW (damn caps..LOL) vinyl of Surrealistic Pillow is being released, so if the normal trend continues, that means a hi-rez download should be showing up in a few days. I'm pretty sure I'd jump on that. Vinyl is listed on Acoustic Sounds...though it is MONO. lmao sorry about the caps....

Mo-Fi doesn't do downloads. At least not to my knowledge.

Well, not sure about all that. I'm not suggesting that MOFI does downloads, only commenting that when vinyl is released, many times it's followed up with some sort of download. Possibly different label.
