Holy crap....some of the bass explosions on this disc are unbelievable....seriously rattled my windows....amazing.

Figured it would be proper to listen to The Endless River for a bit..first time. First song....so far...so good. I love it. So....I know better than to vote yet or comment in general. This one to me has a LOT more at stake than Roger Waters....I will listen to all songs...more than once before I pass judgement. I mean...they call this Pink Floyd...so it better be.

Amused to Death is forgettable, IMHO. The devil made me say that.

I'm biting my tongue...cause I have a tendency to speak out before I have a real full understanding of the music...in different moods. But I have to say this...as a first impression. Yeah, so far, a couple of the songs don't do it for me....but several of the others I love the way they sound. No vocals...I could care less....they still have that Pink Floyd foot print. Still - I need to absorb this, several times before I vote...and I will vote.

OK - have to make a quick edit...hearing On Noodle Street...wow! I love this tune...

lmao - well...I'm listening to Roger Waters...Amused To Death blu-ray for the first time. And honestly, my system isn't up to par yet as I need to figure out where to put my speakers and run Audessey....

I gave 9s on both "Amused to Death" and "Best of the Doors" too, and for the same reason, which was that I didn't like some of the mixing decisions made.
In the case of "Amused to Death", at times I thought the mix was too conservative, whereas with "Best of the Doors" I didn't like the drums being mixed to the surround channels on many of the songs.

Your votes wouldn't surprise me because I don't really know your musical tastes...but Gos loves the Doors..and the content on that disc is amazing...

That's not fair.....they are way different discs....I have too much of a varied musical taste to fall into that way of rating things.....I would never compare my rating numbers across bands....especially The Doors vs Roger Waters. They are simply not in the same arena. Musically.

Produced by Martin Birch... I've always enjoyed the sound of his productions (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult); the only song I know is "Hypnotized", but I'm going to have to pick this one up!
