Listening to a Termination by Iron Butterfly...excellent tune. Oh boy, if we could have in Quad!

Another classic Leslie guitar song (electric guitar played thru a Leslie organ speaker) - see also Badfinger, Blind Faith, etc. etc... What a great, timelessly cool sound.I've always loved this song
Yes indeed; it was a game-changer.I've always loved this song
And one more thing...I'm not sure about all you "guys" not from the US...but this damn GEICO commercial with the band EUROPE simply cracks me up...every time I see it. I just love that raised eyebrow at the end....hilarious....
I'm about as tired of the ad as I'm tired of the song, and frankly, I hope I never hear it again (or if I do it had better be in surround)
hahaha - not me man. I live for those GEICO commercials. I must have a warped sense of humor....used to love those Caveman commercials...jeez....

Regarding Suite Judy Blue Eyes, aka Judy Collins, she is as kind and sweet as she is beautiful. In the mid-90's, my Son, Daughter and I were at an appearance of hers. My Daughter was eight at that point. In between songs, Judy asked her if she played piano. My Daughter nodded "yes." So, Judy invited her to sit at the piano as she played. My Daughter was terrified that she'd be asked to play. No worries, Judy didn't ask her to play.
Sadly, I have no photo record of this, since it predates phone cameras by several years. I do have some autographed discs, though.
A WONDERFUL memory of a beautiful person, inside and out.
Got my copy of Velvet Underground (Banana). I'll cut right to the chase. It sounds like ****. Could it be better than CD's out there? I don't know...but minus all that knowledge - it sounds thin, compressed and raspy. Disaster....
That being said..I love the music and am pleased to have this disc...won't be turning it up anytime soon though.

That's pretty much what the mono vinyl copy I have sounds like. Can't turn it up.
But for some reason I'd love to hear a quad mix of this. Done back during the same period. And on the same drugs.
