LOL, yeah. Doom Metal...I guess the guys have a bad attitude...you know...like...Dammit, I just stepped in dog ****. Bummer....
Just like to send out birthday greetings to Daryl Hall...he's 69 today...a little tidbit about Daryl...he likes to restore and preserve historic homes....I like to watch his episodes of Daryl's House...
Daryl's House is an amazing show....really shows what an excellent musician he is. (at least I think he is)
I want to see the episode with Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of the Doors...a recent episode with Booker T was impressive...loved hearing Green Onions...one of my favorite songs..
Was reading another thread about a 5.1 release of Katatonia...it's an older thread, but in buzzing around Amazon, I found another band that seems to have similar style...
Not sure about that, but I did find they had a 5.1 mix of their album called Draconian Times: Legacy Edition. Band is called Paradise Lost....
Hey man - I got a new copy for $18 shipped. We'll see how it sounds....I guess it could be some form of Death Metal...don't really know. Yeah, yeah...well, back in the day...early 80's I think...I was getting into a new sound..wasn't sure what it was at the time, but the band was called TROUBLE. I sort of dug it....I suspect they would call it death metal....

What about the sound quality on the Hall & Oates disc Clint? I myself enjoy the red book sonics of their albums, surely MOFI won't screw that up?
Since I'm a Fleetwood Mac fan...and I'm always looking for a new release from them(I have given up on the Dance on blu ray)I was wondering if the summer appearance HERE..would produce a blu ray or at least an appearance on the Palladia channel...or maybe a blu ray from their tour...
Someone needs to remix Hall & Oats in surround... There's already such great separation in the stereo mixes, it would sound fantastic!
...it's not surround..
Superdeluxeedition.com is stating that it has a 5.1 mix. But on these sort of releases I'd still not be too optimistic. The recent Who Shea Stadium 1982 DVD advertises a 5.1 mix by Bob Pridden. And while there is a little activity in the rears (mostly on songs with pre-recorded backing keyboard tracks like "Eminence Front" & "Baba O'Riley") the rear speakers don't have much more than crowd noise in them.
