The Spirit of Radio - During the 1981 Major League Baseball strike, Geddy Lee, an avid baseball fan, sang the lyric "one likes to believe in the freedom of music" as "one likes to believe in the freedom of baseball."

Google is your friend!

You got connections! Which shows though, smartie!? I'm pretty sure he doesn't sing that on Exit.

yes , then it must have been the Signals tour, although I saw them December 82 at the Spectrum-which means it was WAY after the strike- , both nights in a row, Dec 13th and 14th....and I had a recording Walkman that I recorded the first one..and listened to it MANY times after that...

Inspired by Ninet's recent appearances with Steven Wilson, I went and checked out her music for myself.
Oh…My…Goodness!
This is just too cool:

(She should get Steven Wilson, or anybody, to mix this in surround!) ;)

I liked the music, the video is a little too freaky for me...LOL!

Speaking of Steven/KSCOPE-related, Bruce Soord of Pineapple Thief has announced his first solo album, due in late november this year. No info on surround but given his new found interest we might be in for a late year surprise \o/

Edit: Preorder seem to get a 5.1 FLAC!

Bryan Adams - Get Up. Releasing in a couple of weeks, produced by Jeff Lynne and co-written by Jim Vallance. Expecting a good album here! Prices look spooky, there's a $55 CDN (44 USD) version, and from what I can see it's only a 2 cd edition with some acoustic songs and interview on the second disc. No mention of a blu ray or any sort of MC release. I luvs ya Bryan, but if all I'm getting is 2 cds for $55, umm no. Anyone have more info? Just watched the new video Brand New Day, not bad. I like the way the band dresses now, they're all grown up :)

I wouldn't expect any hi rez versions of his new album...at least not now...if it turned out to be a big seller...who knows....there is a link at the bottom of the article for a single CD version for $12 +shipping HERE

Same price here in Canada, $12 for the cd, $55 for the deluxe set which includes the cd, second cd with 4 acoustic song versions, an interview and 24 page booklet, near as I can tell. Just the cd looks like a good purchase for me ;)
