Well, that's a shame! Thanks Linda...

It is really more disappointing that you realize...we have been led to believe that there were going to be SACD's of the cars...but it's been WAY over a year that these 2 were "supposed" to be released HERE..it might even be 2 years..I'm not sure...it's just another in a series of "smoke and mirror" titles by MoFi that have never materialized....in fact the only "hi rez" products I know of are some downloads(which I don't buy)HERE...

You'd think those 2 would be huge sellers too...makes you wonder what goes on behind closed doors sometimes.

There is a very important birthday I missed recently...on August 3rd Tony Bennett was 89...I've long respected his voice but really didn't know much about his personal life...I had no idea that his struggles with drug addiction and marital problems almost caused his downfall....after having initial success the music scene changed dramatically...rock and roll had kicked his type of music to the curb...there was a lot of pressure from record companies to have artists like Tony and Barbara Streisand perform contemporary rock songs and Tony tried but failed miserably...by the end of the 70's Tony had no recording contract...no manager.. his second marriage was falling apart...and his cocaine addiction had caused his debts to rise to the level that the IRS was trying to seize his home...after a near fatal cocaine overdose in 1979..he asked his sons for help...his son Danny had tried the music scene but didn't have the talent...but he did have a solid grasp on the business side and became his dad's manager...during the 80's Danny got Tony away from Vegas and moved him back to New York....he booked Tony at colleges and small theaters...Danny felt that Tony's music could appeal to a younger crowd...and he started to book him on late night tv...and eventually got him connected to MTV...where his legendary songbook appealed to a young hip crowd that had never experienced the classic songs...his career blossomed again and he turned his career and his life around...in 2014 he had a collaborative effort with Lady Gaga(Cheek To Cheek)which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts and made Tony the oldest performer ever to achieve this milestone...and it also won a Grammy...

I just noticed on amazon that Tony had a new release recently HERE....what an amazing performer he has been over the years..and he's still active and can get it done...my hats off to Tony(y)

I saw that...but I'm not a Lennon fan...don't get me wrong...I loved his contributions to the Beatles...but after his tenure with them I had no use for him and his condescending nature...

Whoa....I didn't know your feelings about him. I'm a pretty big fan.....I just wish his music sounded better in some current format....

Don't get Snood wrong...........Snood love me some good John Lennon, but he did put out a lot of ummmmmm trash tooooooooooooo - I.E. - Most all of Sometime in New York City minus the Live cuts and every Yoko singing cut ever on ANNNNNNNNNNNY John Lennon Album! :howl

Was reading another thread about a 5.1 release of Katatonia...it's an older thread, but in buzzing around Amazon, I found another band that seems to have similar style...
Not sure about that, but I did find they had a 5.1 mix of their album called Draconian Times: Legacy Edition. Band is called Paradise Lost....

Hey man - I got a new copy for $18 shipped. We'll see how it sounds....I guess it could be some form of Death Metal...don't really know. Yeah, yeah...well, back in the day...early 80's I think...I was getting into a new sound..wasn't sure what it was at the time, but the band was called TROUBLE. I sort of dug it....I suspect they would call it death metal....

Which makes me think...wouldn't some of Marilyn Manson music sound excellent mixed by Steve Wilson....LOL! He would never do it...but I bet he could make it sound great....
