RICK B. "In The Room With The Doors: Robby Krieger and John Densmore"

OMG! The Doors made a huge, huge impact on my high school listening behaviors. They are in my top 3 favorite bands...ever. I was ridiculed in high school for listening to the Doors in my bad-ass 442. This is a joy to watch, I so love them.

Aaaahhhh... 1977.

All of these legendary acts in a space of under 3 months. And look at those ticket prices. Obviously we have to account for inflation but still.... You could have gotten the best seats for every one of the concerts in this ad for less than half of what it cost to see Springsteen or Gilmour on their most recent tours. A Golden Age for live music, the likes of which we will never see again.

What a great set of gigs, only one I saw '77-'78, The Runaways who played my Uni, Utopia at the Knebworth Festival in '76, Tangerine Dream early '80s, and Peter Gabriel, Uriah Heap, Rush in the 2000s - would have loved to have seen all the bands back then.
