All this koo new Info is making Snood dizzy and smarter @: Learning is fun

I'm constantly looking on my "source" websites for hi rez stuff and CDJapan is one of my favorites...I happened to see some upcoming BEATLE re-issues...ok..don't get too excited...they are CD's and use the same 2009 remaster...but they are SHM-CD's...and in my case they interest me because I own the MONO box set...which I like a lot...but some of the individual titles are better in stereo...and Sgt Peppers just might be worth it in stereo on a SHM-CD...I've never purchased a SHM-CD...so I have no idea if there is an improvement over a standard CD WHEN the same master is involved...but on an individual basis this might be a nice experiment...the other exciting thing IMO is that these are being done again..and in the SHM version...is it out of the question to "dream" about another remastering job on the Beatle catalog that includes SHM-SACDs?

Scroll down and read the description HERE...now for those who have reservations about ordering from Japan or don't like to wait so long HERE is another solution

I'm glad to see a CDJapan endorsement. I happened upon that site just last week and bookmarked them as a possible source. Now I have confidence that they could be a place that I would order from.

I've bought quite a few SACDs from them, well packaged and reasonably priced.

I see Burning Shed has moved to a larger facility...always good to hear that a business is expanding it's storage capabilities...some interesting comments on the bottom of the screen HERE about the King Crimson Live album...

The careful way it's packed reminds me of a small mom and pop operation...as opposed to the assembly line appearance of the larger outlets...

exactly...i'm very customer service driven so things like the way they take care in packaging is much appreciated! and gladly pay a little more in some instances to help support a company like this...

I don't know if there is a specific thread where we can discus music WE WISH WOULD BE IN HI-RES SURROUND....

But, I have such a long list...but one, more obscure album I used to have...I think was made for surround. Hold on to your shorts all...

SKYSCRAPER - DAVID LEE ROTH

Man, I think this LP just has outstanding little pieces of music that would just be outstanding in surround.....just take the song Skyscraper...whoa...that needs the surround treatment IMO.

My man THIS is the thread...you can talk about ANYTHING related to music..where to buy it...the price...anything at all...no surround of that one but if you want the cd it's CHEAP here

Slightly off topic, but I received today Comfortably Numb and The Final Cut books. I, finished reading TFC and, while shorter than I expected, it's a very recommendable reading. Apart from the text, there are many unseen pictures and interesting bits of information such as the explanation about the holophonics and the sound effects in the album. I finally know why you can hear a cat!
And, I think, Rontoon is on the credits!

Vinyl is not dead, well at least not in the UK!
