Holy Sh..Crap Clint! I wish I could go to FLA to check it out. Me wants the cardboard figure that guards the Motown.

Do you mean the Long Tall Sally EP? I saw quite a few in two stores yesterday and today. Does Snood want CV to pick one up if they are still there?
Have you checked this place
Yes used to be one of my old stomping grounds back in the day, in fact at my last jaunt the owner of that store came into REtro Records on bumby ave.........Snood was like aren't you the owner of Rock N Roll Heaven - Snood hadnt been there in like 30 years. We talked a bit - he was like Snood u got good memory.

Almost got off work today just to get some of the record store day stuff, but the beatles mono 45 was interested in was long gone........yes Snood collects Beatles Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............and yaaaaaaaaaaaay at same time - Blue.Monk knows what Snood is on about there.
Speaking of the Beatles I ordered this one...the have the Beatles Box Set from 2009 but it's the Mono set...which I really like..but I want to see what the stereo versions of some of those songs sound like...and the SHM CD should help some..
I adore that collection (!967-1970). It was the first Beatles LP I ever owned and started me on my endless love affair with the Fabs. Even though you may find some of the extreme panning strange (by today's standards) I think you'll really enjoy the stereo versions. Also note that for the "Let It Be" and "Abbey Road" tracks there were never any dedicated mono mixes created.
BTW they've just released new vinyl LPs for this and the 1962-1966 collection made directly from the original analog masters.
I'd love to get another turntable...probably just for nostalgia...I probably wouldn't use it much..but just to look at it would bring back memories...
I did so that I could listen to SQ & QS Quad records - just waiting for the new Surround Master
The more I hear about the surround master the more I'm curious...have you had one before?
No, I used a home build SQ decoder for a while, at the moment its via DD ProLogic II Music on the amp, but the new Surround Master will have HDMI as well so it'll be easier to hook-up. The old one has got rave reviews here and elsewhere, the new one is due sometime early-to-mid 2015.
Do you have any info on the new model you could share?
I seriously need to go do something....getting ready to place another order. Stumbled across Robert Reed Sanctuary via Robert Van...'s other thread. I really like older Mike Oldfield and this disc pays homage to that sound...only, I suspect this disc has much better audio than the older MO discs I have. There are 2 copies of the DVD-A on Big River......I'm really ready to pull the trigger....feeling weak.......
Ok..any diehard fan of the Beatles...there is something for YOU...it's on sale today for $49.99...AND if you or your significant other is a fashionista...well this is right up your alley...I will call this "coffee table art"...of course the catch is that you have to have the Beatle music first..or this is of little value...well..here goes...drumroll...make sure you watch the video clip HERE
