I've ordered quite a few times for amazon uk and the only problem I've had is the delivery time...

I've had stuff take months and I once got a huge shipment of a bunch of stuff I didn't order. I'm still waiting for the "Tommy" Blu-ray I ordered months and months and months ago. The pattern seems to be that if it ships from England I get it quickly. If it ships from Germany, all bets are off. I don't know why some amazon.uk orders ship from Germany, but they do.

I started this thread as a place you could discuss any aspect of music in a casual friendly unstructured atmosphere where there are less constraints than other topic specific threads...so whether it involves the digital realm or the analog world all discussions and comments are welcome on this thread...the object is just to have fun and share your stories or opinions with others..you have already contributed some interesting information on the thread...

Does anyone know any more about the CD/DVD Deluxe Edition release of SKY 4 Forthcoming? Claims to have 2 discs and it's set for January 26, 2015 release. I have to wonder if the DVD is really a DVD-Audio?

I guess I never realized how amazing how Steely Dan's first LP was. Can't Buy A Thrill. Several big hits, and whoa...totally forgot about the tune, Dirty Work. Wow...what a blast from the past that is.

Anyway - wouldn't this sound great in surround? I think so.

I'm a sucker for all the SD and Donald Fagen hi rez material...I'm working on the Pretzel Logic SACD now...I've never been disappointed by any of their discs yet..when I first got the Aja SHM-SACD I didn't think it was that good until I played it enough and now I love it...bring on Royal Scam!

LOL! Well, today I sent back the incorrect disc that Amazon UK sent me......website says refund has been issued. Now, the odd thing is - I come home today and Signal To Noise is in the mailbox. I asked for a refund......I didn't ask for a replacement. lmao! So, they gave me my money back, and sent me the correct disc after all.

What the heck? Do I just consider it a nice gift? I mean, how much more complicated does this need to get?

I would let them know what happened......and more importantly let US know how this quad based source material(signal to noise) sounds on your system without your "mondo" sub being involved...

Yeah - I guess the other curveball is that they only refunded the cost of the disc. Not the shipping. It cost me US $13 to return the imposter disc they sent me. This sure seems very messy......

I ordered the SACD of Elvis Costello's "North" from amazon.com it wouldn't play the 5.1, I asked for a replacement and where to send the dud back to, and they said don't bother it'll cost too much to ship it back to the USA. So they just sent me a replacement then I did a software update on the Denon and the 5.1 started to play. Shame its not a great album as I now have 2!

I've always loved Fleetwood Mac in all it's different combinations and styles of music...so I thought I'd give some of the CD's some playing time today...and one of my favorite albums by an ex Mac Member is Bob Welch's French Kiss...what a great album it is...that would be an album for a surround mix..can't even imagine Danchiva in surround...."think about the space between your eyes"...

I'm staring at THEN PLAY ON...TANGO IN THE NIGHT...TUSK...and MYSTERY TO ME....can't find BARE TREES...I'll have to get another one...so much good music on those discs...I'd love them to be "rescued" from mere CD's...but alas..I dream...just like I've longed for THE DANCE to be on blu ray...just not going to happen...

Yes, but with a new, high tech turntable comes buying NEW vinyl. That's the way I'd do it....would not play my old vinyl...which is why it's such a foolish idea for me.

Oh man - I have my wife captive in the music room. lol

Streaming youtube videos on the tv. One of my favorite things to do. I use my Oppo to pair up with my laptop...sit in my lazy chair....Que up my favorite videos and let em rip. Fun stuff.
Got Whiter shade of Pale video going now...the original. Great stuff.
