The Swimmer is available in a fantastic remastered BD~V version: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Swimmer-Blu-ray/80153/#Review

Got it! It's sandwiched between 2001 and Altman's That Cold Day in the Park. It'll be summer soon in NZ and I find The Swimmer to be a great summer evening watch. Same with Apocalypse Now. Lights off, volume way up.

fizzywiggs41 mentioned Tangerine Dream. Dang, how could I have neglected TD's Sorcerer or Miracle Mile soundtracks? Great flicks and tunes.

So many great songs in Apocalypse Now

I just watched the newly remastered SORCERER. Great underrated William Friedkin [the Exorcist] Flick. I even have the TD Original Soundtrack.

I got them both too! That BD release is Region Free too if anyone's wondering. The first time I saw Sorcerer, I thought, "Hmmm, 1970's in France, wonder if there will be any Ford Escorts on the road?", and then straight away a MK2 Escort Sport rolls around the corner!

Ah, cars, movies, music. Still digging the things I dug when I was a kid.

Then you must LOVE those Fast and Furious movies. Just when you think they can't come up with any more spectacular stunts ....... they DO!

Actually, I can't stand them (that 5th one was OK when it turned into Mission: Impossible)! I gave up several of them ago. Every time I'd rent one hoping for a decent car chase (like Ronin/The French Connection/Bullitt/To Live and Die in LA/Jack Reacher) without music so you can hear some throaty engine and without an edit every 1 second but it never happened.

Having said that, it was pretty cool seeing Paul Walker's little MK1.

I just watched the UHD 4K flick BABY DRIVER. Loved it. Looks spectacular in 4K even though it was upscaled.

... and another couple from the 90's:

Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn - Ravenous
Neil Young - Dead Man

Two GREAT flicks. The very recent Criterion BD~V of DEAD MAN is the one to get. Brilliant, quirky and well.....OUT THERE! Neil Young's sparse score sounds fantastic! Although the audio is 2.0 ...... it fills the room nicely decoded through Pro Logic.
