Not available in the UK, it seems.
Can someone please get me a non Amazon.com link where I can buy it?
(I will no longer use Amazon.com as they refuse to pay their VAT, and I get lumbered with VAT, Import Duty & handling fees which really ramps up the cost)

Tried to find the company, but do not use FaceSpace either......struggling to find me a copy.
UK Amazon only has the regular CD version

have you tried Lisa @ Burning Shed, Neil?
maybe there's an opportunity for a tie-in between them and Music Valet for UK sales of their DVD-A's?

That's the nature of the beast, unfortunately ! :(

Hi Neil, you can try the band's website, http://www.betterthanezra.com/ or Music Valet directly, http://www.musicvalet.com/

Neil - I ordered it from the MusicValet website as per Robert's link above. Shipping was about $8, I think. It arrived today which I think is pretty speedy for an international delivery.

I had to order it thru the bands' website, after some problems with the Music Valet website (wouldn't accept any of my email addresses) but not had shipping confirmation from BTE yet. The bands' site did say it could take upto 3 weeks to arrive, so I'll give it another couple of weeks before I start to panic..!

I ordered it from the bands website too. I'm begining to wish i'd ordered it from Music Valet, now. :(

Are you ordering 1 or 2 discs? Shipping for 1 disc to the UK is $8.44 (so $24.42 total with the disc) and shipping for two discs is $11.48 (so $27.46 with the disc). This is in line with Amazon's shipping rates (for non-prime customers). We purposely priced the disc at a very competitive price (i.e. $15.98) to counter balance the international shipping rates.

I'll be in London 8th May through 11th May. I'll have discs with me. If you're hesitant to pay the shipping here, I'll work something out via PayPal, etc. and ship your discs from London.

Best,

Rich

Hi Rich.

As you are currently in London, is there any way we could possibly hook up so I can buy a copy from you please?
I am in Shepherds Bush, W12.....please PM me for contact numbers if this is a possibility.

Thanks

....Just my dream

There is an former major label band but now independent called Marillion that has a number of its cult like fanbase clamoring for 5.1 releases. The band is pretty open with their fanbase but have never answered questions as to why they have shied away from releasing their albums in 5.1. My gut would lend me to believe that surround/high rez versions of their catalog would draw interest similar to Porcupine Tree.

I quite agree, and they are re-releasing albums with new mixes, their stuff would really suit the 5.1 treatment.

I've done a couple of SPEC upmixes of Brave and Season's End - not bad....

Just back from London. Not ready to give away the next mix just yet. Making some nice progress though!

Also, just added a 'Reviews' section to the Music Valet site if anyone's interested in duplicating their Quad poll feedback on the Better Than Ezra 5.1 mix.

Your blog title of "LONDON CALLING - OUR NEXT 5.1 MIX?" got my attention.... can't wait to find out what it'll be.

When are you likely to make an announcement?

Thank you for caring about the 5.1 and DVD-A format. I would love to buy every title you print. I will do my best to spread the word. Feel free to use this forum for feelers for new releases or reissue interest.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of your first release in the mail this week and will review and comment.

I called it!

That's a stellar album and there's so much discrete music going all around in stereo, man, it's going to be great if that's the next title.

I love the list of favorites...keep them coming!

Well... My list of "different than prog" would be something like this:

Metallica - ...and Justice for all (or master of puppets, cant deicde)
Faith No More - Angel Dust (there is a MFSL Gold CD version that is very good and remastered from master tapes with very good dynamic range for the genre, actually frst remaster I see that has better DR than the original)
Pearl Jam - Ten and vs.
Primus - Brown Album & Tales from the Punchbowl
Deftones - Diamond Eyes
Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
Nirvana - Nevermind
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness
Radiohead - OK Computer
Tool - 10,000 Days (or all Tool better...)
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Muse - Absolution, Black Holes & Revelations and The Resistance
The Raconteurs
Roxette (yeah! with the above list I like Roxette :p)
Daft Punk
Moby

is it too much?

you can check our own Area 51 of athe 51 albums we each want in 5.1

Nothing here, currently waiting for the disc. Ordered a week or so ago, but from Canada, so I guess it'll take a bit. I think there was a shipping confirmation last week.

me neither, payments gone out, no shipping confirmation as yet.. I'm giving them the 3 weeks they advised, or rather pre-warned it could take to come (in all fairness the message to that effect popped up before I checked out the order, so I still could have cancelled at that stage).. if in another couple of weeks it hasn't materialised then I'll drop them a line :)
