This is available everywhere Chicago does all of their hits over a 55 year span. And WOW do they perform. And in Dolby Atmos.

Frankly, I didn't pay attention to specific sounds from the surrounds or ceiling speakers. I have been so totally immersed listening to and watching this. And I cranked it up LOUD.

Interesting, these dudes can really sing, even acapella! And they can play. This is Chicago as good as ever, and with special guests. And the vocals were clear and understandable throughout.

This is a reference video concert disc. And Chicago's best ever (and I have them all)!

Get it. You won't be sorry. This is not just a rumbling in surround! This is the real thing!

Received mine this morning, playing it now in Dolby Atmos.
I agree 100 % with Steve's enthusiastic report.
No, make that 1000% 👍
It really is that good.
In every department.
Music is superb
The 4K filming is terrific
The Atmos mix for a live show is more than acceptable.
If you are a fan of Chicago, I can only encourage you to go out and buy this masterpiece.
And if Chicago only has a passing interest, then you won't be passing them bye anymore.
Steve, this is wonderful.

Steve, this is wonderful.

Thanks for the recommendation gentlemen. I was extremely disappointed when I saw Chicago live at the Camden NJ Pavilion because of horrid acoustics. This will make up for it. :SG

5.1 only, 'HD' not 4K... but good enough is good enough for a $2.99 rental or $9.99 purchase.
If its good enough for you, 5.1, compressed sonics, thats ok. But if you have a nice Atmos quality audio system, even more a nice video display as well, believe me, it is so worth forking out the $$$. I expected the video on a recent concert to be superb which it is. I didn't expect the audio quality of the Atmos to be so damn REAL and outstanding, as opposed to simply good! I think it easily beats prior Chicago concert blu rays and I have all of them!

Live at 55
You're gonna luv it! This is a concert I can playing again and again, I think its that good, materialwise, audio and video quality! And these dudes don't just play, they can sing. They do several songs all or mostly acapella and are really outstanding. And some great guest stars participating as well!

Just a heads-up that if there's more than one 4K music title you're looking for (likely not worthwhile if just one title due to shipping), in the aggregate it may be cheaper from imusic.co out of Denmark.

I put together an order of this title in 4K + Black Sabbath - The End, Motley Crue - The End, and Rolling Stones Welcome to Shepherd's Bush, all in 4K UHD, and the order from imusic ended up being almost $20 cheaper after shipping than Deep Discount was even with the CYB15 coupon ($95 total for the four 4K titles vs. $112 after tax).

Some odd and... Questionable guests in that list.
JJ, although the 4K BD is 'upscaled' with no HDR enhancement, the fact is does run 149 minutes and has been widely praised and is about the same price [with discount] as Rhino's Chicago's Greatest Hits BD~A ATMOS disc and likewise sports a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, IMO, makes a purchase worth the risk.

And here is the track list:

1. Introduction
2. Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?
3. Beginnings
4. Questions 67 and 68
5. Listen (with Robert Randolph)
6. South California Purples (Short Version) (with Steve Vai)

Not everyone has a 'nice Atmos quality audio system'.

I was all-in on 5.1 for DVD concerts, movies and DVD-A audio discs. Focal powered monitors, Sony LCOS 55" TV, then upgraded to LG OLED 65", which made me want to upgrade everything to 4K - my ATV receiver, Apple TV and BluRay/DVD player. It got pricey, but the upgrade was worth it visually.

When Atmos started happening I enjoyed the better Atmos releases folded-down to my 5.1 system, it certainly seemed and sounded 'good enough' to these old ears. I started buying physical Atmos media from SDE and other resellers, which usually also included a 5.1 surround mix in addition o Atmos and hi-res stereo. Still sounded good enough to me.

But being in the audio business, and hearing 7.1.4 and 9.1.6 Atmos releases at studios in LA and Nashville, coming back to my home to listen to them folded down wasn't good enough anymore. I added a pair of Focal Dome speakers as sides to go 7.1 - this made a BIG difference in the Atmos playback experience. And then it was even better than good enough.

BUT... it bugged me that I didn't have the .4 - what was I missing not having the height channels? This bugged me, so that 7.1 wasn't good enough any more. I didn't want to tear up my ceiling to install 4 speakers. A lot of folks here and on Steve Hoffman's forum said there wasn't much up there, mostly reverb and effects. But still, not bugged me,

So I poked around, got some advice from friends in the biz, and found some wedge monitors I could mount on the ceiling and run the wires along the corners or the walls and ceiling to hide them. Put all the measurements into the DAART software and installed the heights accordingly.

So now that I've got a Dolby-compliant 7.1.4 surround system in my media room, is it good enough? Yes - I do not feel the need to go to 9.1.4 or 9.1.6. I have not seen many Atmos mixes that take advantage of those extra channels, anyway. But I thought 5.1 folded-down Atmos was 'good enough'... until it wasn't.

Not all audiophiles will go to the trouble and expense to upgrade their home theatre/entertainment systems to 12 channels of playback. Fo those that do not, 5.1 fold-down Atmos is good enough... until it isn't ;-)

My thoughts exactly.

When I read this quote by Lee Loughnane on their website -

"This concert film is a unique approach to any of our previous live performances. We very rarely play with guest artists, much less seven of them. It was very interesting to work with each guest and experience their interpretations of our music."

I thought 'well, yeah - if you can't get more original or classic members of Chicago to entice viewers, might as well go for some eclectic guest artists.
