Just last night on the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Awards show streaming live on DISNEY+, inductee Peter Frampton made a plea to the academy to consider inducting HUMBLE PIE into the R&R Hall of Fame! But since the existing Q8 QUAD of SMOKIN' is considered 'phony' [double stereo?] a new ATMOS/5.1 remix would have to be undertaken!
So there is a requirement to release an Atmos remix prior to HOF induction? I never knew that.;)

I’d like to Please see the rest of the BTO Bachman Turner Overdrive Quads get released. I believe there’s 3 more.

BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE -II. Mercury MQ8-1-696 (28), Philips 4DX-57 (CD4) [Japan]
Bachman Turner Overdrive. Mercury MQ8-1-673 (08), Mercury 4DX-56 (CD4) [Japan]
Four Wheel Drive. Mercury MQ8-1-1027 (Q8)
Head On. Mercury MQ8-1-1067 (28)
Not Fragile. Mercury H-11004 (QR), MQ8-1-1004 (Q8), Mercury 4DX-45 (CD4) [Japan]

Which could make a great 3 for One release. Or perhaps two releases, and add “Freeways,” which was only released in Stereo, but is a significant title. According to Wikipedia:

Freeways is the sixth studio album by Canadian rock bandBachman–Turner Overdrive, released in 1977. It was the last album that Randy Bachman would be a part of with BTO until seven years later when a "reunion" Bachman-Turner Overdrive studio album was made and released in 1984.

They might have to come from DV?

Edit; Sorry I thought that I was still reading the Quadio thread!

BTW the BTO's have "that sound" that you can't get with matrix, in that all four "cylinders" are firing simultaneously! I never cared much for the simplistic style of BTO until I played the Q8 of the first album, and heard "that sound". Too bad that the original group "Brave Belt" doesn't/didn't get more attention, they were always one of my absolute favorites!

AFAIK, NO! Only the Chicago QUADIO box set was released concurrent with the group’s induction into the Hall of Fame and if you recall, RHINO had just recently took over their Columbia Records catalogue from SONY!

I kind of thought you were but wouldn’t it be nice if other record labels honored their inductees by stepping up to the plate by refurbishing their back catalogues with some form of SURROUND remasters?
I would think it's more about honoring the money involved with releasing old material when the band is getting a fresh shot of relevance like being acHOF inductee.

Project 3 offered some excellent recordings, mostly featuring Enoch Light, one of the original "Quadfathers". Tony Mottola, guitarist, and several others. Their records were among some of the best sounding, and the quad mixes were excellent. In many cases, their records were mixed specifically to show off what quad could do, Some of the albums were also offered in all three formats; QS, SQ, and CD-4, as well as Q8 and Q4. The music tends to lean toward big band/easy listening, but the arrangements and mixes make them some of the best quad demos out there.
