When AF goes back to do an album on SACD by an artist that they just previously did, it must mean that the title did well for them, and that it was not a poor seller.

I just heard the test pressing of this one and it gets a real "Holy Crap!". I don't think I ever listened to this before, although I had the SQ LP back in the day, I just don't remember being so floored by something I either forgot or never paid attention to.

Those who don't like quad mixes with stuff in separate speakers, and sounds swirling around the 4 channels will HATE this disc! :)

I have to digest this one more, but Marshall gave the go ahead to comment on it so I am. If you are a fan of this album, this will be the ultimate.

More later.

When I started this thread I said Head To the Sky was the only early Columbia EWF album I didn't own.
I now realize that statement was wrong, I also need Last Days and Time.
Was LDAT ever released in Quad?

Apparently, it was not, according to Discogs.com

Yes, the Multichannel SACD is a definite upgrade from the SQ edition!
Earth, Wind & Fire fans will want to get this one as soon as it is released on SACD.

Now available for preorder on amazon with a proper release date of April 1. They originally listed it with a release date of March 4, followed by "Temporarily Out Of Stock" and all that other nonsense, so this time, once April 1 comes around, it should ship for real. :)

Haha - I actually cancelled my "original" pre-order....I got tired of seeing the incorrect ship dates. Guess I'll order it again....

That delay must be for retail only because I got billed for this (and Leon Russell) today.

It was delayed from the original release date in March.
With a retail In Stock date of 4/22, the invoicing and shipping to AF members around now sounds right.

Makes sense.
Must admit, I pay little attention to the release dates and/or delaysy
They just show up,when they're ready.
I always have such a large backlog it takes me awhile to play them anyway

Yes, with the increase in Multichannel SACD and Multichannel DSD releases this year, it can be tough to keep up!
A good "problem" to have. :)
