It was also a hit, although to a lesser extent, here in the US, too. I noticed the version on this Blu-ray is a longer version than the single, and sounds really great in surround. This disc is, from what I can tell, the best fold-down from Atmos to 5.1, that I've heard yet.

I agree. But love our Penny / Elton John sacds even more! (y)

So, let me understand what you are doing with your system. You are running the 5.1 layer through the auromatic upmixer. You also have a non conventional speaker setup such that the height speaker placements do not conform with the standard Auro 3D configuration. Further, you do not utilize a VOG speaker. Please correct me if I’ve gotten any of this wrong. Assuming that I understand you correctly, then, you are enjoying a significant variation on the Auro 3D template. I’m happy to hear that you are very much enjoying listening through your system and it would be very cool to hear another forum member’s experience of listening to music in your room.
Everything is correct except I’m playing7.1 layer to the upmixer from a oppo 203.

Finally, eh?
Mine on the way too, as well as Who’s Next
Then it sits in NY for two or three days. Then on to Chicago for at least two days. Then on to Billings for two or more days. The incompetence and laziness is off the hook the last several years. We grew up with people with work ethic. Look around................. Pathetic.
Getting from the UK not a problem.. it's right here IS the problem. About the last 5 or 6 years. 🙃

Anyone else notice how different the LFE channel is on the Diamonds BD-A compared to the streaming counterpart? On the BD-A, the LFE track almost sounds like it hasn't been filtered, and could easily pass for a bass/kick drum track that should be played through a full frequency channel/speaker. Wondering if this was intentional or somehow a mistake on the BD-A.

Actually, my sub hasn’t kicked in so far. I’m about 2:30 into the disc, and no sub at all. Still amazing.

All blame goes to the USPS, I have had several packages late over the past 3 years. Almost always, tracking shows the package 20 miles away, then it goes out of state for several days before finally being delivered.

I went into the pre-pro’s setup menu and changed the Blu-ray audio input from 7.1 to HDMI. Holy mackerel, what a difference. Not only did the sub kick in immediately on “Your Song,” but immersion is nothing short of jaw-dropping. A bit late at night, so I’ll be spending a few more hours with Elton very soon.

Good move

Wanna know why there were three songs that were only mixed in stereo when there seem to be plenty of room on the Blu-ray?
i don't know but i suspect a lack of available multitracks may be why Greg Penny didn't remix "Victim Of Love", the George Michael Duet version of "Don't Let The Sun..." and "That's What Friends Are For" with Dionne, Stevie & Gladys 🤔

So, does this mean that for quite some time, you haven't been getting any content from you sub when listening to multi-channel stuff?
