Tempting, but I couldn't get into the first album enough. Didn't feel that Alex was a major force in the music, could have been any guitarist based on what I was hearing. [I'm also a Rush fan] Putting Alex's involvement aside, the songs, singing, musicianship are all fine just not in my personal wheelhouse. I suspect some of the hype helping to support the band is Alex's involvement and not the astounding character of the music or members themselves.

This is a nice release by SDE regardless, anytime they can get a 'known' act for a new surround release is a good sign they have some momentum in the music space.

Sounds like well produced, fun pop music to my ears. Also sounds like Mariah Wynne and her backup band. I agree that Alex Lifeson’s name, while featuring heavily in the marketing, does not translate to an identifiable Alex Lifeson guitar sound. I suppose the death of Neil Peart gave him the impetus to move in a different direction. From what I can hear from the YouTube videos, I don’t detect a Rush influence. The synths at various points remind me of the Cars. Anyway, order placed. Will be enjoying this one and Streetlife Serenade come March.

Even though I don't know much about the band (other than the obvious), the music sounds great and this will get WAY more plays on my system than say.... Bruno or Brukoski, or whatever that band is. lol :hi

I think after collecting all of the SDE Surround Series atmos blu-rays up until now, I'm finally out. There is the temptation to purchase due to the limited run of 1000 (which would make it quite rare, similar to the limited runs of Ten Years After, or Gilbert O'Sullivan). From listening to the four available tracks I would likely listen to this disc once (if that) and then shelve it - I have done worse, as there are 5 or 6 other SDE titles that I have not yet had the desire to open and listen to (all of which were/are available beyond their pre-order window). Also, with recent poor exchange rates not in my favour, it would cost me over NZ$80 to purchase a copy, which really is too much for a single blu-ray atmos audio disc. Having said all of that, should I not have a number of other things happening in my life at the moment, some of which impacting any disposable income that I have, the completest curse might have won out.

You’re just hoping that Maiah Wynne videos will play on the screen along with the music.
