Well, as much as I want this great album from Genesis? I’ll wait until(hopefully?) a stand alone Atmos/5.1/stereo Blu ray is released, anyone else?

Well i think that's a slim chance , but there's always a later release chance if SDE gets on board , ......keeping in mind , that that opportunity could be 2 or more years from now.

I will be buying this album as it's one of the standouts from my favourite Prog Rock band.....Genesis , that I love .
But I'd love it even more so if it.......... INCLUDED A SEPARATE 5.1 MIX !

Seriously , I believe a release won’t take two years? Look at Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and it’s stand alone Blu ray as that was only months after the box set, so I think SDE will release one maybe even Genesis themselves.

In terms of content and packaging, I can't really complain too much about the reissue strategy. Separating vinyl from digital is a major plus, and double albums always present challenges with cds. My problem with this reissue, at least as far as the 5 disc set is concerned, is the content. The blu-ray is very underutilized and probably could have contained all the content - the live show, the remixed studio album and the demos, but does not. Admittedly, there may simply not be much extra unreleased material to include, but for $100 I'd like to see more than a single live show (mostly previously released), an Atmos remix and a handful of demos that must be downloaded. However, this could easily be the best we will get. If the Atmos mix is a knockout then most of these concerns will be forgotten, but only time will tell. Personally I hope it is a knockout and leads to Atmos reissues of the rest of the catalog.

I wouldn't mind seeing further Genesis albums via this system , but not in a
box.

Unless it's a time period box , such as those famously issued 1970-1975 Green box , and the Grey box of live albums 1973-2007. I might consider the Blue box as well.
Back in 2007/8 you could buy the separates, and that started with the Blue box set.

Further releases such as : Foxtrot, Nursery Cryme ,( and the aforementioned
Selling England By The Pound ), are a must in my opinion.

You and me both. I don't currently have an Atmos system but will in the near future. In the meantime, I've accumulated more than a few titles that have only Atmos surround mixes and I won't play them until I have the proper equipment because I have to hear it as it was intended to be heard. I know that's a bit anal but......

OK I understand where your coming from.

Now I'm absolutely not promoting those "Atmos only" titles......

However ....Two I recommend in the buried 5.0 are Pearl Jam Dark Matter , and
Peter Gabriel i/O .
But I do have many others that are not as good, so 2 out of the lot isn't much to brag about.
I was surprised about the Pearl Jam because I bought it on a whim.

That's what this is all about! Hearing a mix as it was intended to be heard. The ones who use someone's mix to work their sound system and mess around and alter it are the outliers IMHO. (Have to agree to disagree with them too. We will not be changing each other's minds!)
