Cool! Could you tell if it was remixed into discreet multichannel or just manipulation of the stereo program?
I hate to play the part of uncle Grumpy here, but, taking into consideration the fact the HUGE aversion that "Jimminy Page" has had all his time to remixing LZ's catalog in MCH, I highly doubt that it's a legit MCH mix...my bet is that it's an upmix...betcha $20 ....
...and may I repeat...Page has NEVER made or let anybody mix ANY OFFICIAL MCH mixes from LZ's catalog...
The exception being the live How The West Was One. (The "audio" volume on 2 DVDA's. Not to be confused with the "video" volume on 2 DVDV's with the same name.)

You are probably talking about Kevin Shirley's involvement....

Saw Ragnarok last night. Cool movie, coming from a guy who doesn't love all comic book movies.
I don't know what kind of sound my theater had, but it was kinda out in the boonies, so I doubt it was Atmos.
Anyway, I thought Immigrant Song sounded "ok," but honestly a little dingy compared to the rest of the soundtrack.
the question is not is there an engineer up to the task.As it's now been 10 years since the last of the Jimmy Page remaster box sets... any news on an Atmos reissue campaign? I haven't hear anything anywhere, and with the release this weekend of Becoming Led Zeppelin in iMax, an Atmos release of the original albums would be indicated, if not imminent. I know Steven Wilson and Kevin Shirley are busy, but surely there is an Atmos remix engineer out there up to the task?
Yeah, he certainly doesn't need the money. But for years he tweaked, re-mixed and remastered tracks from the entire catalogue, released several different compilation box sets, spent a decent amount of time re-working The Song Remains the Same film soundtrack... seems odd to me that he hasn't dived in and worked up Atmos versions of their expansive catalog.the question is not is there an engineer up to the task.
the question is will Page allow it, and seems the answer is no
I think in his mind, all those studio records were designed for stereo and that's the only way he wants them heardYeah, he certainly doesn't need the money. Perhaps. However, Led Zeppelin were known for pushing the envelope in their studio recordings, and were one fo the first bands to have members build recording studios in their residences. I guess I'm just kind of surprised they didn't embrace this new format/technology as they had with CD, DVD, remastered box sets and streaming.I think in his mind, all those studio records were designed for stereo and that's the only way he wants them heard
