SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER HEADLINE

"BAGGY GOES VINTAGE"

After a strenuous year of trials and tribulations, San Francisco native Mike 'Baggy' Vieira added CD~4 to his Surround arsenal. A celebrity on You Tube, Mike recently acquired a treasure trove of 'vintage' CD~4 Vinyl and took the plunge into the unmitigated joys of discrete vinyl.

Good Luck to this pioneering surround 'addict' and keep that little CD~4 blue light on your vintage receiver glowing!

"The Atmos mix, on the other hand, is just...unequivocably (sic) one of the greatest...audible experiences of my entire life, music and otherwise."

MIke, are you sure that you are not in the marketing department of these record companies? 🤣
One of the greatest audible experiences of my life was when my wife said “I do.” 🥂

50th Anniversary Box Set Review

You said you think that the 5.1 surround was probably re-worked and sounds really good too. If they do a stand alone br, yes, we will probably get it then too. We do already own the sacd, and the Immersion set br purchased quite a while back from someone parting out that immersion set. Got lucky on a low price on that one as it had just posted bin on ebay.. LOL. Hope others who have both BR versions (5.1) and can verify. Take care Mike. Good review.👌 ~Mike

Yeah, my only clear (to me) proof points are the bombastic parts of "Us and Them".
On the original SACD and BD, those sections sound(ed) very cluttered on my systems.
During my listen the other day, it sounded uncluttered.

Super unscientific, so take with a massive bucket of salt.

Ty Mike. We'll get it then. IF it happens... 👌

The bombastic parts of Us And Them do indeed sound ’cluttered‘ on the SACD. I would use the term ‘compressed’.
