Fantastic treat! What a wonderful and insightful interview on a subject that is near a dear to us all... immersive/Atmos audio from a respected audio engineer. The only question that I wanted asked/answered that wasn't was if these new streaming Atmos mixes were also going to see a physical release. Seems to me that these would make wonderful SDE Blu-ray's!

I’m okay with the author sitting on the sidelines while we search out our favorites in Atmos. Change and adaptation are not for everyone. If one finds mp3 satisfactory out of convenience and a lack of willingness to upgrade, then so be it. It’s why there is generic peanut butter and laundry detergent. It’s why some people like Happy Meals and others demand fine dining. Everything is not for everybody.

Hope that the author filled up on his diet of sour grapes.

FWIW, I like Rush up through 2112. To me, they are/were fine musicians. I just lost touch when the rock influence took a back seat to the prog content.

I don’t think that Rush’s intention was to make music that everyone would like. Also, Geddy’s voice is an acquired taste, and some of us just never get there.

I am all for a little bit of madness with Atmos. However, I don't have a set-up for Atmos, and for the Rush Atmos mixes, I can only listen to 5.1. This is probably why I am not impressed with Chycki's mixes. Edison Baggins must have a better set-up to be enthusiastic about those mixes.

My feelings are the more people that ask/inquire about albums receiving new ATMOS mixes and available via streaming services, maybe those inquiries will get noticed and thus receive consideration for a physical format (Blu-ray) release. We ALL win!!!

RC can’t predict whether anything will be released on Blu-ray, as standalone, streaming only, etc. He was surprised when I let him know that the 4 new Rush mixes are streaming.
We have discussed the topic between ourselves and agreed to leave it out of the talk, along with current projects, recently finished mixes, etc. Anything that might present problems with NDA.
