The Doors -Waiting For the Sun

Good album but doesn’t reach the heights of the first two. The meandering bonus track Celebration of the Lizard is worth having. The 24/96 MLP sound on the DVD Audio is great.
The live videos are interesting, they show that Morrison wasn’t particularly dynamic on stage IMO.

I prefer the Tom Lord-Alge remixes of the tracks from this album found on the Chronicles compilation CD, which is one of my reference discs.

The Doors - The Soft Parade

Probably my least favourite Doors album and hearing it again now doesn’t change my mind. Having said that, still a good record. More fascinating bonus tracks, they’ve been a treasure in this box set.

The Doors - Morrison Hotel

Had forgotten how bluesy this album is. Even more so with all the bonus tracks. Fun listen for sure.
The remix sounds great in HiRez.

Fantastic album, not just the hits. The title track (it’s a lot different on the DVD Audio remix, sounds like it’s been sped up) is a stone cold classic along with the perpetually eerie Riders on the Storm, among others.
Not sure if these remixes on the box set will be my go-to’s in the future (I have the DCC’s) but sure like most of ‘em.
