Just a fantastic record if you dig any kind of euro weirdness heavy yet eerily melodic sounds check it out
Ya gotten listen to the whole thing though

This reminds me of a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack.

I see on Amazon that there are several albums by this band. Do you know if they all have the same weird style as this?

I like it and I think I will pick up this cd when it is back in stock. Would have been great back in the 80s when I was space truckin'.

Some Sanborn today; the song "Theme From "Love Is Not Enough" from the Casino Lights album, has always been one of my favorite performances of his. With a stellar backing band at the Montreux Jazz Festival - he just smokes on this tune!

Highly recommended album:

Drums – Ricky Lawson
Guitar – Robben Ford
Keyboards – Neil Larsen

Saxophone – David Sanborn
Vibraphone – Mike Mainieri

Hey, good info thanks!

Really like that era of automobiles. Looked it up, this is funny:

"NASCAR road race: In America, an XK120 FHC was the first imported car to achieve victory in NASCAR, when Al Keller[19] won the first Grand National road race, held at Linden Airport, New Jersey, on 13 June 1954. Foreign made cars were banned from this series after this race."

David Sancious and Tone -
Dance of the Age of Enlightenment

Cool story how Iconoclassic rescued this unreleased album from obscurity (a few promo copies got out in ‘76 before the label abandoned it).
Kinda wish I liked it more, and the multiple synthesizer overdubs sound muddy/gritty in places. But still, admire the effort then and now and don’t regret taking a chance on it.

Like most bands they started out heavier with more of a doom/stoner style but always had some soundtrack psych elements. If you dig Blu then work your way backwards starting with Wasteland.

David Sancious is the best thing to ever come out of the mediocrity pit of The E Street band.In fact I read Springsteen and co got the name because they always practiced at Davids' Moms house on E street.I got turned on to him by his work w/ Stanley Clarke. He's had a pretty lucrative career backing up Peter Gabriel and Sting etc.But I only really like his solo stuff from the mid 70's.Sadly he is much more known for his piano playing but on those forgotten 70's lps he plays a mean guitar too.
Check this song out he does a great interplay with himself on both instruments.
