hey Boonie. Sorry for late reply. My new set up---challenging at the moment. I still have a ways to go. There has been some software gremlins. There are the 2 JL Audio subs that now need foam surround repair. The room - acoustically - needs some tweaks. The foundation is there but the execution is not as good as it can be at the moment. Prolly a good 6 to 8 weeks out before this sucka gets to where I want it to be

Patience, MY MAN! It's a HUGE space and with so many speakers choosing the right sound treatments will take awhile. EQing the room will help but even then you'll still need to make some adjustments. And permanent sound reinforcements may NOT be the answer because once they're installed you can't rearrange them.

My Shakti holographs worked wonders in my space and they're moveable but with so many speakers in your system you'd need a dozen and they ain't cheap!

So you have 4 subs I'm guessing?
I know that acoustic treatments can help a lot in some rooms. But a good calibration can go a long ways to cancel those reflections. I don't know what sort of calibration system you have: Audyssey, Dirac or whatever, but can make a big difference.
Hope you get the sub repairs straightened out soon. Placement can surely make a difference: but a good room calibration can ease a lot of that, or should, when sub placement is more or less fixed.
I have the bonus of a fairly small audio room with limited options for speaker placement as well as slanted ceiling. lol.
Ah, the lengths we go to for our music. I've moved speakers and other things many times. I moved two of the height speakers several times, and still ended up rotating everything 90* until I was happy, or as good as my old hearing and Dirac Live will allow for.

Since I'm planning on installing a new TV I guess I get to go through it again and build a platform for the TV else put it so high I'll have terminal neck pain so as not to block that center speaker.
First world problems.
