One thing I’ve learned about listening rooms - they are never done.
I think I am done.
I started in the early 90's with surround, chased the mother-you know what- for 30 plus years.
The spot and rig I am in now I worked on for 3 years, actual work, placement, wires, etc that can be a day, but the mental obsession can go on, leading to buying this and moving that.
One of the great things or a problem, is being on QQ looking and reading about so many very cool rigs and rooms, I think to my self, oh my rig sounds badass, but wait, what if someone besides me actually listened to it and they said this sounds like ____.
After I started racing my car at the 1/4 mile drag strip, and met and saw so many people and other cars, a music listening light bulb went off in my head.
Everything is great, everyone on QQ has there unique and special rig, there private enjoyment sound space..
I came to realize that listening spaces are like there own special place, with there own character and there own reactions to what music is placed inside them.
I don't drink wine, but I understand this idea is how wine drinkers think, all good, just different.
Like an artist/band, lets record at RCA in Nashville, or Fame in Muscle Shoals, or Abbey Road, they have there own sounds, and those of us on the listening end have our special sounds.

Anyway, sorry for being long winded, but I think I am done. This is quite a relief for an OCD person as myself. Now I have more room to be OCD about other stuff- :ROFLMAO: :SB

@marpow, if I were to work full-time on my room for the next two years, I would probably get it to the point where I now have it planned. But in the meantime, I fully expect that some other fancy piece of equipment would come along, and I'd want to add that. Something like @chucky3042 's new preamp with all the de-noising functions. It's not out, but it's something I'd happily put in the system. Wall wart and all.

George Benson WHITE RABBIT [CTI Records/Blu~Spec CD] I've had this album for years on vinyl and domestic RBCD but this blu spec CD from King's Records played through the SUPER DSP mode of my Meridian pre/pro was as discrete as any Dutton Vocalion CTI QUAD SACD ... and then some and it is, IMO, one of Benson's supreme efforts. Just look at the list of Jazz legends on the cover and every track is a bone fide masterpiece! VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!
