Nielson Symphonies 2 & 4
Chicago Symphony Orchestra RCA CD
It says DSD is involved but the symphonies were recorded in 1966 and this is a cd......

Somewhere I have an SQ encoded box set of his symphonies one of two box sets but I can't find it now.
But this CD will due for now
SONY has been systematically DSD remastering most of their current and past analogue recordings for 'archival' preservation purposes, Jeffie!

Unforgivably bad since from all I can find out, Rock Candy didn't even go back to the original tapes for their "remaster," they just EQ'd and compressed the heck out of the Epic CD for the Rock Candy.
I've been kind of scratching my head about Rock Candy Remasters CD's in general. On some of them, maybe all of them, they mention they are 24-bit. Yet when I rip the CD's to .wav file, and right-click on the file info, it says 16-bit. I was always under the impression that 16-bit is all you can fit on a CD. Anything 24-bit and higher would have to be a digital download, SACD or Blu-Ray. Am I wrong? And is Rock Candy committing false advertising by saying 24-bit when it's not?

Nat King Cole - Hittin’ the Ramp

7 discs full of historic early NKC music. All of it fun and upbeat. The sound quality varies given the sources but I’d say about 75% is very good to excellent for its age. Very enjoyable and appreciate the effort that went into it. (I’ve met the person who mastered it and heard first hand about the exhaustive process).
