Roxy Music - The Best Of Roxy Music
Tidal - https://tidal.com/browse/album/275394155

Ooh wonder how this sounds?!? Currently away from my system but hopefully it's a good mix? No Atmos mixer listed - hopefully Bob Clearmountain or Steven Wilson had some involvement?
Uhmm, anybody with a working link for Europe (Spain)? Tidal is fine, but none of the us or gb apple links work for me.
Thanks!

Seems like more of a 7.1 mix than full Atmos, but it's a very welcome development nonetheless. The tracks from "Flesh and Blood" sound especially good in surround.
That's my view as well...was waiting for confirmation. But I'll take it (y)

I'm quite enjoying this, but it seems almost enhanced quadrophonic, with essentially zero signal in the center.
The surround backs seem to carry most of the heavy lifting, with the "side surrounds" adding spice.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, quite the contrary.
Eno's synths two minutes into Virginia Plain. :smokin

The old Elliot Scheiner 5.1 mix runs circles around it.
I won't be adding that one to my Library. *I also seem to remember the DVD being a real PITA to rip on that one.

I also wanted to get reacquainted with the 'Back To Black' title by Amy Winehouse last night and noticed that the first ~half of the album (with all the hits) isn't in Atmos, just the last half (come on Apple :(.)

I'm happy with the two Missing Persons tracks and the Best of Roxy Music. Very nice!
I thought the same thing of the Missing Persons, still need to check out the Roxy though.

Yes, but overall I'm disappointed at the first listen. I am a huge Roxy Music fan and was hoping for:
1) consistency (sounds like a 5.1 from 4-5 different mixers)
2) fidelity (some tracks sound downright thin)
3) better than Police GH, but that's not setting a bar very high :)

So far my favorite GH Atmos set is the documentary soundtrack from Sheryl Crow. OK, Tom Petty and Elton ain't bad either. :)

I would LOVE a well-done Atmos mix from Siren.

WOW! I can't wait to give this Best of Roxy Music a listen. I have the stereo only SACD, but I was never satisfied with the sound quality, I much prefer the original albums from the box set.

I hope they release the entire album in Atmos!
Been hoping also since these tracks were first mentioned on page 49, ten months & five thousand posts ago.
(Or at least Destination Unknown, which precedes Walking in LA in the track order.)

Seems whatever momentum there might have been has dissipated & moved on to other artists.
Some of this stuff we'll likely only hear as singles in the current business model.
