And now for something completely different...

Quirky but fun, as is the mix.
I’ll be (inadvertently) seeing them 3 times next year as they’ll be the opener for the three King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard shows I’ll be seeing at Red Rocks. Need to get around to listening to their stuff.

I can't believe they are taking these old mono recordings and passing them off as being Atmos. There is nothing in the center channel, but there is something in the subwoofer. Just faint sound in the heights and rears.
I suppose that spatial audio isn't as demanding as, say, quadraphonic, which can have discrete sounds in all four speakers. For spatial audio, they can have the same mono track in all speakers and who would know? I think some of this was sourced from old 78's, but the surface noise was removed.
They did a better job on Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits.
Don't discount this album because of that. There are classic songs here.

I love Hank Williams' songs, but I have zero desire to hear them in "spatial audio." For that matter, like you, I don't understand the reason for "mixing" any mono recordings into Atmos.
