I wish everyone could come over and listen to a bad ass Atmos set up really sounds like, not that I have the best but my little hot rod rocks in a big fuckn' way.
INXS 30.
I read a lot of QQ and feel bad for others who have so many problems with listening, ripping, equipment, etc, the audiophile world is really big and all I hope is that I can help others with this madness of audio.
I love a quote from Alan Parson's, " audiophiles don't listen to music, they listen to their equipment" that has been me and I had to let it go.

Have you listened? What did you think? I love this album.
So...it's not on a Steven Wilson mix level...and a bit lacking in low end bass, but I don't remember this being a chest thumping album either. Overall, it makes a good effort with regards to being surround/immersive but not a grand slam, more of a double as it feels very 5.0-ish. My system is 7.1 so I'm getting the surrounds as discreet but not much going on in back surrounds. I don't have overheads yet, so I can't speak to the .2 or .4 output.

They are not new on Tidal, but too good to miss. Halsey's three first albums are on Tidal in Atmos. Great artist and some very fine mixes. Sadly her latest album isn't available in Atmos. Would have worked well judging by the stereo mix. If you are new to Halsey I add a list of songs you can check out in Tidal (and possibly other streaming services). Gasoline is my favorite.

Whole Album on Amazon Music/Dolby Atmos
6/10
They left out If You Can't Rock Me/Get Off of My Cloud; best track on Love you Live;:(
Not nearly their best effort
Ron Wood SUCKS!
They BUTCHERED Luxury; one of my faves

I stumbled upon a reissue of a 1995 Torch Song album with five of the tracks "revisited" by William Orbit and the revisited tracks are available in a Dolby Atmos mix:

I'm sure it's up on Apple Music as well.

The only thing I knew about Torch Song was a Torch Song Mix of Sting's If You Love Somebody. It's a pretty different version to what was released on the album and I always enjoyed it. I was checking to see if Tidal had any of their releases because I read that Rubellan has been trying to reissue their first couple of albums and noticed this remaster/remix was released on the 18th. It's got a very active mix and is worth checking out if you like electronic music or William Orbit's recent Starbeam EP in Dolby Atmos.

I'd love to see him do an Atmos mix of Madonna's Ray Of Light album with her upcoming reissue campaign since he did a lot of writing and production on the original album.
I would die for Ray of Light in any sort of surround format. I remember that was the first album I searched for when I even found out that surround music was a thing. It really deserves the surround treatment, hoping that William Orbit pushes for it.

Looking for some great sounding music this weekend?
If you are like me you are probably continually browsing to find something worth listening to. Here are some songs I keep coming
back to that sound better than most in Atmos:

1. Kiko King & creativemaze: Halo's Guilt
German project that has some really cool Atmos tracks. Wouldn't mind having these in HiDef, but not available yet as far as I know.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/144468367
2. The Beatles: Strawberry Fields Forever.
Not a part of any album makes it a little hard to find. Works really well in Atmos. Hard to believe it once was recorded on 4-track.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/218257589
3. Kacey Musgraves: start-crossed.
A beautiful voice and a song that is hard to dislike with its classic pop construction. Several albums available i Atmos.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/197130013
4. Post Malone, Swae Lee: Sunflower.
Simple yet great sounding Atmos mix. I love the low end. From the "Into the Spider-Verse" soundtrack. Post Malone has got a lot more to offer in Atmos and it usually sounds great.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/125154886
5. Halsey: Still Learning.
Halsey rarely disappoints in Atmos. This is another great track and mix from the album "Manic". A couple of more albums and several singles available in Atmos.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/128060166
6. Kraftwerk: The Hall of Mirrors.
The "3-D The Catalogue" is a well known reference in Atmos. Sounds great on Tidal and even more incredible from Blu-ray. I find this mix very entertaining with all the moving objects.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/147049841
7. Lorde: Sober.
All her three albums are available in Atmos. This is from "Melodrama" which is my favorite. Not all songs from the album sounds great, but this one does.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/207401086
8. Selena Gomez: Hands To Myself.
Great example how an Atmos mix can improve the appearance of a song. The stereo mix gets quite boring after having listened to this.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/126071686
9. Ariana Grande: 7 rings.
Ariana's take on Sound of Music. Well done and a great Atmos mix to fullfill it. Several more of her albums and hits are also mixed in Atmos.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/125154894
10. Eric Clapton: Layla (Lockdown Sessions version).
I never get tired of Layla. I love the MTV unplugged version as well as the original. This one is also easy to like, both the performance and the mix.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/203939170
11. Taylor Swift: the last american dynasty.
From the fabulous album "Folklore". If you haven't heard it in Atmos yet, you should. The Atmos version is great and gives more room for all the fine details of the production.
https://tidal.com/browse/track/198801475
12. Luniz, Michael Marshall: I Got 5 On It.
Classic hip-hop track from the mid 90s. This remix in Atmos is well made and sounds excellent. I wish all remixes of older songs were this good.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for providing the Apple links! Hopefully I will be able to provide links like these soon. I am in the process of getting an Apple compatible system up and running. Not easy thanks to Apple. Got two LG TVs with Apple app. Surround sound works in 1 out 20 tries. When it works, it plays max. 2 minutes before drop out occurs. LG has a simple Tidal app as well that works perfectly with Atmos and even 5.1. Got a brand new Apple TV 4k. It does not comply with HDMI CEC standards. It even interferes with the other units when turned off(!). Being an IT pro I will not give up until I have tried all the tricks in the book.
