It's raining out..well...more like a mist than raindrops...overcast...I thought I'd put in some Sinatra...but that's too sad for right now...I could put some Coltrane on...but no..too early in the day for him...so time to mix it up a little

Anne Murray-I'll be seeing you..DVD-A(dual disc)...she sings the classics...

More than overcast here...freezing rain. Gloomy for sure. I guess I need to get some equipment so I can listen to surround here at work!

Jethro Tull chateauheroux sessions. Just excellent. I think it's better than passion play..

Tears for Fears (only Shout)

I really wanted to hear this song at higher volumes, so I could really get a feel for what's going on. The song is very dense. As I've said in the POLL thread - there are a lot of competing big sounds in the mix. In all honesty - I think I like it better cranked up. I can just picture this live...lots going on, the guys are just jamming. Probably how it is meant to be seen/heard. Odd though. I stood at the middle of my listening area...of course facing the front (left/right) speakers. I then turned around and faced the rears. Heck, what I was hearing in that listening position was pretty believable. In other words - it sounded just as good facing rears as it did the fronts. What an odd thing. That tells me that there is a hell of a lot of volume and dedication to the rears. That might be why everyone is confused by the SHOUT mix. It's just loud in all channels. I guess it's really just a rock and roll song. Big arena rock. I think they pulled it off with this mix. It is what it is...

I can appreciate that. OK - got off my soap box now. lmao

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow brick road on DVDA. I confess I haven't played this in ages and probably not with the current setup. Living large with a ton of memories swirling around me.
