Awesome quad mix, that would only be much superior with a Dutton Vocalion magical touch on SACD. Can you imagine how much cleaner this would sound with him doing his magic? Whoa....

There are certain discs I will never get rid of....not for any amount of money. Absolutely off limits are all of my Dutton Vocalion titles...and of course, all of my Audio Fidelity discs. Those were such grand times when AF were releasing those titles. Seems like so long ago...though it's not. Sigh....

I wonder why America - Holiday was never released from Audio Fidelity? I suspect it would have also been a home-run surround release. Sigh...

Awesome quad mix, that would only be much superior with a Dutton Vocalion magical touch on SACD. Can you imagine how much cleaner this would sound with him doing his magic? Whoa....

I think some level of "grunge" (for lack of better term) is inherent in the recording of that one. The best I've heard it to date is off a Euro LP pressing, but I'd expect a reissue to sound at least as good as the old Toys In The Attic SACD. It's my favorite quad mix ever - even a Dolby Digital-only release of it would have me over the moon

And...now that I'm listening the The Best of Bread from AF.....I remember how freaking excited I was to buy that one. Such classic, 70's music that was part of the fabric of my youth here in the mid-west.

You very well could be right. I mean, it's just lacking....some.....shine. Mind you, it's not bad...just a little murky sounding....missing some crispness in the cymbals...and such.

But unfortunately me thinks that Aerosmith catalog would bankrupt D.V.........hoping some eventual equitable deal can be reached though. And it should not dissuade any others from giving it a go.
Rocks is a spectacular quad album , amazing 4ch mix.
My hope is still with......Sony Japan btw.
