have you tried any 10cc albums thru your SMv2 yet?

Well, funny you should make mention of that, because I just read that Lynn Olson (Audionics) used" 10cc -The Original Soundtrack" ..... to test difficult SQ encoded tracks !

2 were from Columbia -CBS SQ discs and then one track from 10cc .

Isn't life in quad strange ?

Ummm
Before I forget , they were showcasing the new (75) Shadow Vector decoder from Audionics . :) in Billboard article on SQ .

it'd be no surprise if it were a stealth Quad album! i'm in love with "i'm not in love" through the Surround Master!! the things we do for Quad ("oh the things we do for love"!) ❤️

Perfect Angel : Minnie Riperton (SQ LP decoded by the Surround Master)

one of the best (maybe the best) Bass = Rear Left / Drums = Rear Right CBS Quad mixes imho (bass is totally in the Rear Left but some drum parts still left upfront so its not as totally separated in the Rears as some of the later mixes like Michael Murphy/Swans Against The Sun, Dan Fogelberg/Captured Angel, Tower Of Power/Ain't Nothin' Stoppin' Us Now, The Manhattans/It Feels So Good, The Miracles/Love Crazy, Mac Davis "Thunder In The Afternoon", Return To Forever/Musicmagic and Minnie's other Quad "Adventures In Paradise").. gorgeous gorgeous record with a certain Mr. Stevie Wonder all over it to superb effect

"as i sit on the edge
of a dream,
what do i see
what do I see..
things that might be,
if we look we just might see.."

Message In The Music : The O'Jays (SQ LP decoded by Surround Master)

by 1976, Philadelphia International's Quad engineers (Arthur Stoppe mixed this gem) had really nailed it imho and were coming up with the most accomplished mixes, for me
they have a more modern feel rivaling the best 5.1's (Elliot Scheiner quality) beautifully balanced front to back, lovely and discrete, nothing's shoved in a corner vying for your attention, everything in the mix gels.. lusciously 😛

"live each day for what it is
and try to remember,
don't fight the feeling,

don't fight the feeling..
you've got to..
let life flow.."

I think Ship Ahoy is still my favorite of the O'Jays quads, but this is a close second. Love the tune "Paradise" - it's a great quad workout with all the front/back vocal interactions ("more and more", "frame of mind"). Brilliant stuff just begging for an SACD release.

REALLY wonder Adam if Dutton Vocalion could conceivably release a two~fer of Minnie Riperton's Perfect Angel and Adventures in Paradise. What a voice!
