Is this worth getting.. I'm not real picky but I hate loud & compressed ???
In my view yes, not enough hard rock, surround mixes out there.
And I have just given this an 8 in the poll charts....so that should indicate how I rate it.
Just need to find it for a good price I guess.
it didn't strike me as particularly overloud or compressed.. but the mix was.. kinda "distinctive", i guess?
iirc there was a DVD-V with the same 5.1 mixes (albeit in lossy/Dolby Digital form) to play around with maybe before throwing down the dosh for the SACD?

Depends on your system. There has been MUCH controversy regarding this title's compression, etc. but on my system cranked up it sounds like Alice in Chains UNBOUND!
