I was not aware of this. I will check it out. I have done upmixes of two of TTWS albums.

They are mostly 4-channel quad from the 1970s. With classical music, the new recordings are 5.1. But there are some 1970s quad recordings of classical music, too.
I have a good selection of 1970s 4 channel recordings from vocalion records from the north of England, including B W Stevenson Herbie Hancock The Swingle Singers Chet Atkins and Julian Bream. Have a look on the vocalion site on line

I've been digging through the collection trying to find stuff I haven't played often - what a gem this is! Impressive sound for CD-4 vinyl and a fantastic quad mix (though some would probably take issue with the drums being mostly locked to the right rear channel ). If you liked the more rock-oriented songs on The Best Of Bread ("Mother Freedom", "Let Your Love Go", etc), I think you'll really enjoy this album. Perhaps D-V can score this and First as a two-fer?

The Anonymous TWO
Whoa! I think I went on a blind date with one of them back when I was putting the high into school! I just put on some Djabe to soothe myself!

Djabe Táncoltak A Kazlak / Sheafs Were Dancing

Whoa again! I just noticed the title of this release is in the past tense, but the used-to-be titular song is in present tense. As it is in our POLL

And Good luck having dated one of those 1865 sisters. At roughly 162 years old, I'd say THEY were robbing the Cradle by dating you in High School!

Clement, a BOY TOY ????????

Yes, I share your enthusiasm for Dutton Vocalion‘s 4-channel releases. I sure hope they keep-a-coming!

Starting this morning with the album that got me well and truly hooked on this fantastic pastime.

If only these new surround mixing engineers could hear this masterpiece!!!

Greg Penny did a pluperfect job in remixing all of the Elton John albums into 5.1 and undeniably, his services should be engaged to remix other potential artists' work in deference to some of the botch jobs the surround community has been subjected to over the past few years.
