So I've gotten hooked on a show on Netflix called The Umbrella Academy. The episode I was just watching (Season 2, Episode 3) ended with a song that I thought was pretty cool that I didn't recognize. I asked Google to identify it. It was "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers. For the TV show, the song was mixed into very discrete 5.1. I was looking through the forums for any mention of Stranglers in surround and didn't see anything. Is there a Stranglers surround release out there somewhere?

its a track that always sounded pretty nice through PLII Music, the Involve mode of the Surround Master, etc., it may have been an unwrap/upmix type thing

A lot of songs I hear in the show do sound like upmixes. There were some Kiss and Styx tunes in the following episode that sounded like pretty decent upmixes. The Stranglers turn however sounded really discrete.

Alan Williams - Evidence Unearthed Blu-ray arrived this morning, listening to 5.1 LPCM with lyrics display, a very good surround mix, great fidelity and a strong 'country' feel to this album.

The Create Playlist feature is something I've not seen before, It seems that you can create 5 playlists and choose what display you see while playing them, not sure where this information is stored, I assume in the player?

Comrades! My computer died in early August. With all of the upcoming releases on sale, I doubt I'll be able to afford another computer . . . ever! The fall semester at the local community college started up this week. I am taking two classes, so I'm writing you from the computer lab. Before I came here tonight, I was listening to (TRIGGER ALERT):

Lynyrd Skynyrd Southern Surroundings (Blu-ray with live version of "Sweet Home Alabama")
What a coincidence--to celebrate my 2-year QQ anniversary, missed it on 25 August, I am giving away an unopened copy of the Blu-ray
HERE
Stay Surrounded, Comrades!

Comrade - welcome back!

Dwight Yoakam Live in Austin TX on DVD in DTS 5.1 surround. What a find since it comes with a CD too for less than $15. Buck Owens and Flaco Jimenez are guests. It obviously isn't an amazing surround mix since it was TV but hey, this is one fantastic 60 minute set!

EDIT 9/2/2020: I listened to it again and damn if it isn't just a really simple but great 5.1 mix. There is very natural discreet mix and I love how when Paco Jimienez & plays accordion and the band too, all the sounds come from just where they are on stage. If you just love great music or Country this is a must own. I have watched this 3 times in the past month.

PS: Chadwick Boseman ... R.I.P. wow. You just never know friends. Lucky he is immortal in the films he made and portrayed honor & elegance.

EXCELLENT ALBUM, superb vocals and discrete 5.1 remix. A wonderful package with a nice glossy booklet. A HUGE Surprise!
