I really love this Big Band/Jazz sound of this 5.1 DVD-A 24/48. Gavin Harrison is such a great drummer, I have watched a few clips on You Tube and he is very good.

Call me a sucker for a good jazz multi~channel SACD especially from the Blue Note Label but I LOVE THIS DISC. I wish D~V would release more JAZZ in QUAD! And SO TASTEFULLY DISCRETE!

Fantastic music and the 5.1 production on the multichannel part of the SACD is spot on!

I'm loving this. Recently recommended on the Bandcamp thread. Unlike Kuniko Kato's marimba discs on Linn, the marimba itself isn't "discrete" (i.e., Kuniko puts different registers of the marimba in the fronts and rears). But once the "computer-generated sounds" come in, it gets wild.

Bartlett shares some of the same minimalist repertoire with Kuniko, but otherwise he's a bit more "out." I want to check out his other discs now.
