Is there any difference between the 1 disc and 2 disc version of the DTS sonically or in discreteness? Or anything else?

NOPE! Just different packaging, MM! The single DTS CD in the DVD~A casing is just classier!

Yeah, pretty sure, I've got all three versions; but I don't have this SACD yet.

According to some remarks in the dts thread, some edits were made between the various mixes that have elements like a harmonica solo deleted out; which I believe @quicksrt states is included in the SACD version.
I do remember that I never liked the guitars being in the rear channels; and if the center channel is just slightly redundant of the fronts (muddying it up IMO) that I could try quieting the amplitude on the Center and swapping the Fronts with the Rears and get it the way I'd prefer

"Super-Jewels" certainly is classier, but the funny thing is whenever I had the chance to grab a CD Jewel case version or a Super Jewel case version of a DTS title, I always went for the regular CD case. This is because I wanted all my 5.1 DTS Releases to match in the same style on the shelf next to each other. I had Wings, Poco, Moodys, and Ohio Players DTS all on standard jewels.

I liked seeing all those DTS CDs all lined up in a row. But of course, there are two types of spine printing, but still it was cool 8 or 10 years ago when I finally got almost all of them, and felt good about that. I have since parted ways with them after a rip to HDD. When the better titles hit $50 to $60 each I felt it was time to cash out and spend the cash on AF. DV, and Japan 7" SACDs. I've always been a speculator, ripper-flipper type.

So, my surround setup is finally in place, a few months into moving, and gave this a spin. Both performances and mixes are excellent, although if I had to summarize Boulez is excellent in The Firebird, albeit not quite as good as his Rite of Spring from a few years earlier, which is in the running for best ever. Mehta's Rite of Spring is him at his best - brilliant and fleet and surprisingly sharp. The mix is a little more interesting in Firebird but the sound quality is a little better in Rite of Spring.

Tomorrow is the last class of the semester, and I followed by reviewing the class materials to some Mozart.

Just got The Magic Stag myself this week. I have not had a chance to listen to MCH but I am quite smitten with the musicianship in stereo; I'd like it even more if there were less vocals. YMMV

First quick listen of Djabe-The Magic Stag

I agree that when vocals it sounds more poppy than jazzy. But there are more than enough only instrumental sections or tracks.

Good music. I have appreciated not too much 'discreteness' in the 5.1 but it sounds very well balanced and good immersive Sound Stage. Have to listen more!
