an already excellent album taken to another level by a great remix. the Quads not as flashy as it maybe could be but it's still nice and Surround-y with all manner of lovely little vocals, ooh's and aah's, handclaps and the like popping up hither and thither around your room.. ultimately though for me the Quad just pisses all over the regular Stereo so much as a mix in its own right there's no other way i want to hear this record now, whether that's in 2 or 4 channels.. today its definitely in 4! woo-hoo-woo-woo!! oh yeah!!

Is this the set that supposedly has a defective Blu-ray? I ask because I could have purchased this set for only twice the cost of the SACD but, instead, I went for the SACD.

accept no substitute! (what i mean is, despite the odd tip off here and there over the years that the Quad snuck out on another format/system, i've yet to find a CD or download that decodes the same as the old QS Quad LP.. i.e. it seems if you want to hear the Quad now its either you play the QS LP or hunt down the Q8 for the discrete Quad presentation shame it never got the CD-4 treatment in Japan like 1 or 2 of her other Quads.. wonder if the Quad masters held in the Universal vault.. feels unlikely but you never know!! as RT says; "hope springs eternal")

Adam, wonder why SONY Japan never released this fantastic King album on Multichannel SACD? Tapestry has had at least 3 multichannel SACD releases [counting the one from Hong Kong] but MUSIC NEVER! A nice 7" special packaging release IS LONG OVERDUE!

Until then, the MoFi Stereo SACD remaster is my go to version.

Björk - Vespertine

This one is a lot more satisfying than the "Post" mix! "Pagan poetry" is probably my favorite Björk song, and it works wonderfully.

I went through two different copies of this SACD that wouldn't play correctly and problems in the exact same spots. I was able to use my Oppo103 to rip the whole thing successfully but curious if you have any issue playing this EXCELLENT SACD?

Last two days lot's of Gary Moore including one of the most joke-ass things I've ever heard pretending to surround. Don't get me wrong, this was him in Dublin and BB King guests so if not surrounded I was surely pumped. If only Gary didn't always have to one-up other guitar players...but I loved him anyway. Because now.....he's ridin' with the King.

BB’s probably steering clear of Gary’s arrogant one-upmanship in the great beyond too!

Björk - Vespertine

Bought the DVD-A in the early 00’s and I have yet to listen all the way through. Doesn’t connect with my brain I guess!

Listening to an amazing CD-4 conversion of the Average White Band’s debut. Love it and would really dig seeing a D-V or Rhino hires release sooner rather than later!
