Markie - what were the DRs for the Mott quad tracks?
Good question, I forgot. I have two versions of the Quad.
The Hoople SACD from DV: 11, 12, 12, 11, 12, 11, 11, 11, 11.
The Hoople FLAC 24/96 from the orginal Quad or maybe it's an upmix, can't remember.
10, 12, 12, 10, 12, 12, 11, 10, 11.

As far as Dynamic Range goes the SACD is a hair better, but more importantly the SACD sounds way better.

Mike Keneally & Beer for Dolphins - Sluggo!

Pretty damn awesome.

Temple Of The DogTemple Of The Dog
Blu-ray 5.1 mix

"The mix fills the room nicely. Some parts are discrete allowing you to localize different musical elements to different areas of the room.
Backing vocals, keyboards, select guitars, a banjo, etc. are emphasized in the rears, while drums, bass, main guitars, and lead vocals are emphasized in front.
Overall it's an excellent and immersive surround mix. The loud mastering adds grit and suits this type of music"
