Yes-Fragile Blu ray
This is one of those albums (mine is the Japanese SACD multichannel) that I bought because of the critical acclaim, but after the fifth time (trying) listening to it, I’ve decided that I absolutely can’t stand it. Roundabout is good but that is about it. I find the other songs annoying and the vocals grating. We Have Heaven is best suited for an insane asylum.

The Who Tommy
DVDA. Disc 2 outtakes mixed in surround!
Pete Townshend's surround mix of TOMMY was so unexpectedly excellent, with his well-documented hearing problems and all, it is a dizzingly grand 5.2 experience for me. AND the second disc of outrakes, sounding just as great? WHO (pun, y'all!) could expect any more?

Especially compared to the awful sounding QUADROPHENIA surround edition, which long time Who engineer Bob Pridden mixed (this I can't understand since Pridden did a SWELL job on the ROUGH-MIX surrond mixes). Everyone should have 5.1 TOMMY.

There are two 5.1 TOMMY.

The one mixed by P. Townshend (2 x DVD-A 2004 Deluxe Edition) has much more clean sound than previous stereo versions, but the Daltrey's voice is less reverberating, and looks less great. Seems like he is singing in an anechoic chamber. But sometimes vocals are all channels around and you feel it inside your head, which is good.

The other one is in the Blu-ray of the 2013 Superdeluxe Box Set. It is different, with vocals reverberation similar to original stereo and in a different discrete style. Sometimes is overwhelming like hearing the drums all the time only from the left surround.

Two different version to choose from. I have both, and alternate from time to time :)

I always liked more Quadrophenia, but you are right. After going to surround mixes I prefer Tommy.

wow, I didn't realize there was a completely different remix of Tommy. Does not sound so good, do you know who did the mix?

EVOSOUND [Hong Kong] has re~released Cat Steven's TRULY MAGICAL 1976 MAJIKAT Earth Tour on a 2 disc remastered set [DVD/CD] containing the complete 135 minute concert in stunning DTS 5.1 Surround with an accompanying remastered RBCD. This set was originally released by Eagle Vision. DVD is ALL REGION. Highest Recommendation. Comes in a nifty slipcase.

Edit: Just watched the incredible bonus features on the disc which included a 35 minute circa 2005 interview with Yusuf Islam in London outlining his rise from relative obscurity and his near death experience at age 18 having contracted Tuberculosis to worldwide stardom and his decision to leave the business and embrace Islam. What a beautiful spiritual journey and another bonus includes his charming cartoon based on the Teaser and the Firecat album cover [Moonshadow].

Bob Pridden & Richard Whittaker did the second 5.1 remix. As @AYanguas mentioned upthread, their approach was to go for a '70s quad-style soundstage with the instruments largely isolated in different corners of the room. Neither version quite hits the mark for me, but both are worth having if you love the album. If only someone could go back in time with modern gear and record Keith Moon's drums to multiple tracks...

Today we're going Björk-o-rama! I can remember when the demented diminutive Icelandic pixie's Debut hit NME's album of the year in 1993. Her mad MTV videos and delirious interviews were just completely so far beyond anything else going on then. Debut holds up amazingly well - it hasn't aged at all. A work of genius.

Yes, please... Putting a different microphone for each different piece of the drum kit.

Recently I've heard a good drums sounding from all speakers, but each drum sounds from a different location as if you were inside the drum kit: Big Phat Band - The Gordian Knot in Dolby Atmos.

Not sure why this gets so many knocks, it sounds pretty good to me and according to the poll a lot of others like it-Quaddraphenia QQ Poll I will admit from a surround point of view it does sound a little thin, but still descrete action in the 5 speakers and LFE is a little weak, but I have heard worse for sure. I still will stick with my 10 vote because I am a fanboy.
BD-A released 2014, 5.1 24/96 DR's are 12's, 13's, 14's and 15's.
My favorite thing about this is my memory of seeing the opening concert, Nov 1973 at The Cow Palace, Lynyrd Skynyrd opened the show and Keith Moon passed out and a drummer from audience played two songs, those where the days.
This would be an awesome album to get re-released in ATMOS, wow, with all those rain and ocean effects.

I used to really dislike the song Bell Boy; but after hearing this in surround, I always look forward to hearing it and giggle a little at how cool it sounds. And yes, could be a great utilization for an Atmos mix.
