Lou Reed's vocals are really FN LOUD !! , in my center channel.....so I threw a towel over that speaker to try and muffle those vocals .

FWIW It kinda worked.

I never owned the highly coveted discrete 2 SACD set of this marvelous concert but the DVD which was very tastefully filmed in high definition at the gorgeous Louisville Palace in Louisville, KY is a wonderful momento of that glorious concert. A second DVD contains interviews with Alison and the Band, behind the scenes video, a still gallery and the video for New Favorite [Rounder Records/DTS 5.1/2 DVDs]. And NO, the concert is NOT discrete like the Multi~CH SACD but the audio and video are truly stunning on EVERY level.

A rarity, this one. The Searchers had a hit with the cover version of probably the most romantic song ever written, "When You Walk In the Room" by Jacquie DeShannon, as well as "Sweets For My Sweet". I took a chance with this, as it is from the dreaded Silverline, but it is one of their really good releases. Obviously upmixing involved - you're never going to get a discrete recording from a band like this, despite what the cover says. But excellent fidelity and "When You Walk In The Room" is two minutes and twenty one seconds of bliss, now with a much fuller sound than on my CD! Yes - sounds like something in the LFE too!

Mr. Big-2021 SACD release. Much better than expected. I have followed this band in San Francisco since the 90's, one of the kind of albums I know like the back of my hand. DR's are 12's, 13's, 14.
Can be very discrete at times. I am guessing because of the seperation of speakers the mixer was able to add some stuff from the master that wasn't used or these items where so buried before that I can now hear stuff I didn't hear before.
This type of music is my heart and soul, would LOVE more 80's/90's hard rock to appear. This album put them on the map for the MTV hit To Be With You. My favorite Mr Big album is there 3rd 1993's Bump Ahead, there 2017 release Defying Gravity is killer also.
