they do take time to setup properly, i think in part since (i find, anyway) their proprietary YPAO system's maybe not quite as comprehensive as the better incarnations of Audyssey..?

one of the really nice things about this model is no matter how loud i crank it and for how long it barely ever gets anywhere near approaching warm which is much appreciated in my bijou shoebox shapgpad! phew!

Oh yes ......
they do indeed take time to set up, properly . My fear is just that . But but but ...once it's all done ........, it's
Hip Hip Who-ray -and time to wake up the Neighbourhood !

Oh if your "Shagpad" is busy enough , it'll get all Hot n Nasty , in your Jammies , with your Yammy , Blastin all the way to Alabammy !

While awaiting SONY Japan's new QUAD SACD Remaster of BIRDS OF FIRE in special 7" packaging, I'm spinning the first two SANTANA QUADS, SANTANA and ABRAXAS ...... IMO, two EXCEPTIONAL remasters played at a LOUD volume with bass finally restored on ABRAXAS

a curious wee thing i noticed on this disc, the front to back balance was slightly different from the earlier Sony U.S. single layer release, with the rears being a bit lower level on the Sony Japan..

IMO, the finest QUAD release of King's remarkable TAPESTRY although hardly a great Surround demo disc. I feel the ROOM move under my feet!

Interestingly enough, Adam....You ARE correct. Seems the single layered SONY SACD was mastered for SACD by the great Mark Wilder whereas the SONY Japan QUAD SACD lists Fred Catero as the 'Quadraphonic remix engineer!'

May have to slip the Mark Wilder SACD into that special 7" packaging!

IMO, the finest QUAD release of King's remarkable TAPESTRY although hardly a great Surround demo disc.

All MC-SACD releases of Tapestry use Paul KIingberg's 5.1 remix. The quad (presumed to be an upmix?) hasn't been released in digital form.

OK now. This one surprised me. I‘m not usually a pop fan, but this one has a discrete mix and very clean mastering. The music is good too! (Amanda Marshall - Everybody’s Got a Story)

Earlier today I listened to this quad spectacular on my I pod and buds while racing around on my bike on a scenic trail devoid of automobiles and noise .☮

And some of this one as well. Both available in SQ Matrix Quad from 1975/76 , but don't dismay as the cd's should still be available.
