Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues - DVD (from the CD/DVD two-disc set)

This may be the best eBay find I’ve made in my two-and-a-half year surround sound journey, considering what this set typically goes for nowadays.

In fact, I was worrying this could be a too-good-to-be-true situation, but the set arrived today, as advertised and in great shape.

The price? $13.50 shipped.

as the eagle eyed among you will have spotted ol' Freddums here is "Listening to Surround" SACDs in DSD for the first time in many a year!!

it feels like a real treat since i haven't had an AVR that could handle DSD for a 'long long time'!

it probably sounds just the same as the DSD converted to PCM by the player.. but to me it sounds much more better-er like, so its DSD all the way from now on until i croak it - or the AVR croaks it, whichever happens first!!

i'll never forget my best friend Richard telling me he thought the words to one of Elton's big ol' hits were quite strange.. for some reason he thought they were; "someone saved my life tonight, shit the bed" ..until i showed him the lyrics booklet.. oh how we tittered!!
