ah i dunno Mr.S.. just checking it out now.. yes there's round the room stuff in the first track which feels cool when playing the mix as a whole in Surround..
but the way its mixed is weird for a more modern 5.1.. they mixed dry lead vocals in the Rear, then the same vocals reverbed in Front L&R and the same vocals dry again in the Centre.. which frankly feels wrong
further investigation required!
edit: the next track does much the same thing, with stuff moving around the room all the time which gives the illusion of Surround but unlike how its used on some of the better old Quads (PIR 360 pans come to mind, they fit in the context of the music itself) or pans by Scheiner, Wilson et al, here it isn't really very satisfying and just feels like a gimmick when its overused in such a way.. or maybe even a fudge to cover a lack of multitracks to work with and hence an upmix (like Herbie Hancock's "Secrets", where stuff goes round the room so you think it must be the real deal but it's actually a loada musty old fake balls!
).
edit: got track 3 on now.. come on, you've got to be kidding! this is definitely not real its almost mono with all the music in the Centre Front and just stupid sound effects panned around!! haha!! total balls for sure! its making me laugh anyway so it'd get a couple of points in a Poll for that at least!
