Listening to Now (In Surround) - Volume 2

Decided to set up the 800+ upstairs today. I bought the Sony speakers on the bottom about 15 years ago because they had four of them. They sat in the basement for over ten years before I used them. Really sound good and we’re only $20 each. I’m enjoying this!

There is talk that UMG is preparing to release some Elton John titles in Dolby ATMOS...wonder if this is a precursor? The only other John SACD which has been currently available in hybrid multi~CH SACD besides his eponymous first album and Madman is Tumbleweed Connection and Deep Discount lists that title on BACKORDER. Hmmmm!

King Crimson, The Power to Believe. Saw them in concert last July. I’ve had several of Steven Wilson’s surround versions for several years, but never listened to them very carefully. Since the concert, KC has been in heavy rotation and I’ve doubled at least my collection of their anniversary surround releases.

Marillion - An Hour Before Dark

Make a play list that eliminates "Reprogramme the Gene" and it's an excellent album...not a bad song musically but just horrible lyrics that make me cringe and make the track unlistenable.

one of my all time faves.. feel like earworm masochism... so many from this album..and she was SOO HAPPY around this time...none of her other releases comes close to this sunshine drenched album (e.g. "Dulce Compañía")...although one of my favorite "dirges" of hers is "La Última Vez"
