Having visited Trondheim I saw the cathedral and it was magnificent from the outside but unfortunately for us closed that day.
The acoustics are usually magnificent in these structures.

Even though a lot of QQer's are averse to Classical Recordings with ambient only rears, classical recording engineers labor to ensure the acoustics of these magnificent old cathedrals are an integral part of their recordings which impart the immensity of the space and to be quiite frank, the dynamic range of most classical recordings also comfortably exceed those of standard pop/rock fare and better display the capabilities of one's system!
