Listening to Michael Nesmith in CD4
I'm going to enjoy this in Quadio, like the group in their Atlantic era, and I like that the tunes are not overplayed. It's going to have good sound on high-res 4.0 I just know it.
Us Quad and Surround enthusiasts are recently having some of the best years ever.
I believe that we got to this good place by three major factors. QQ forums being a constant presence, Audio Fidelity showing how it can be done issuing top titles with quad layers, and Steven Wilson gaining the trust of major artists to handle their multitracks to surround.
These are three of the major influences in the last 10 years which help propel surround. Of course there were other factors as well like 5.1 home theater systems gaining acceptance of course.

That's the 2003 Ken Scott 5.1 mix on DVD-V, right? I don't suppose it sounds any better on SACD...No, the worst surround mix i’ve ever heard, not one discrete moment in the rears, lead vocals are in all 5 speakers, with the occasional doubling up of guitars, what a major let down
