At least the PT album has a very good Atmos mix which the Riverside lack. I like both albums musically.View attachment 93877
Well, after playing that mediocre album by PT (not sure if I’ll ever play that one again), it’s time for some good stuff.
I could agree with this.Well, after playing that mediocre album by PT (not sure if I’ll ever play that one again),.....
Yes I think most of us in those days became "whole album" listeners.I could agree with this.
But it makes me think about how long gone are the days of my youth when we bought a vinyl, which was always a treasure, and we listened to it many times... if only because we had few albums.
That's about the only 1 I didn't buy from that series. No clue why I didn't...Kickhunter - Quadraphonic Game (Q#19) [DVDA]
One of a series of DVDA offerings from a seemingly now defunct German company.
Other titles run the gamut from hard rock to older jazz and country.
Thanks to my NL bud for turning me on to the series.

A collector though I be...
I agree but musically, I’d rather listen to Riverside. At least the PT album has a very good Atmos mix which the Riverside lack.
I only have 6 or 7 I think. How you like the Ogre? don't remember what it sounds like off hand but I like the Kickhunter. That's about the only 1 I didn't buy from that series. No clue why I didn't...
Ogre sounds like Sabbath! So, I love it.I only have 6 or 7 I think. How you like the Ogre? don't remember what it sounds like off hand but I like the Kickhunter.
I've been on a mad dash to catch up on what I missed the last few years on Blu Ray Audio 5.1. Also trying not to break the bank. Then I stumbled on Rodger Waters' Amused To Death. I listened to his first two albums and couldn't connect. So I didn't expect to be TOTALLY ENTERTAINED from this experience. The mix blew my mind. The content is profound and current. And the details. HAL computer says "Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it". Interested in what other members have to say.
How do I get a hold of this? One of my favorite Moody Blyues albumsAs SUPERBLY remixed into 5.1 by Stephen W. Tayler [Threshold Records/4 RBCDs and 1 Pure Audio BD~A]
