It really is an amazing surround mix of an amazing album by an amazing band!
Before Audio Fidelity went belly up on surround SACDs, I was trying to convince them to release this record through ETrain (with Elliot Scheiner) but Marshall didn't even know who Toy Matinee were, so that obviously did not go anywhere...

I have my Quad copy signed and with a BLESSING from Rick himself!!!

This album has a strange dichotomy to it..all glitzy on the outside but it has some REALLY DARK songs!!!

Gorgeous, mon kapitan, just gaw-juss! :upthumb (would love to see pics please.. one day.. tomorrow? )

One wonders, having given his blessing to your Quad LP (the SQ of which decodes v.nicely fwiw) why DA F@@KIN 'ELL he ain't given his blessing for this wunderbah ol' Quad to be reissued from the spanky 4-ch master tapes on DVD/SACD/BD..!?!

Listening to now in surround..

Edgar Winter Group With Ricky D (and The Balloons!) :p

"You got a good shot.... gonna get you, get you, get you.. just takin', just takin' a.. yeah yeah yeah yeah yeaaaaahhhhhhh.. woooohhhhh!!!!"

George Benson "Breezin" (Audio Fidelity Multichannel SACD)

This is around a 3/3 for Content and Fidelity but a 1/3 for the surround mix… :yikes

I've had mine for EVER... :) Or, however long it's been out. And I've still not unwrapped mine. :yikes

Well if all you care about is an amazing, discrete surround mix, you can leave your SACD in the shrink-wrap, but if you're interested in the music and want to hear how good it sounds on SACD, then open yours up.
Mine was a gift, so I definitely do not regret opening up mine and giving it a spin, plus I like the music on this disc a lot more than on Judy Collins…

I've read some pretty disappointing reviews on here of the surround on Breezin. Guess I shouldn't bother. :(

Listening to the Chateau d'Herouville Sessions and it's pretty awesome. I haven't listened to this surround mix yet, but I used to have a big CD boxset years ago that had this on it I guess, because I'm very familiar with everything so far. Hard to believe this whole album was originally rejected by the band.
